Hz. Shah-e-Qasim Mujhtahed Groh (RAH) He was born in Jalor (Rajasthan, India) in 989H. He was the 4th generation of Imamuna. His father was Hz. Syed Yousuf (RAH) and mothers Bua Bibi saheba. He age was seven years at the demise of Khatim Murshid RAH. The library of Hz. Syed Yousuf (RAH) was very big. There were 18 translations of Quran available. Hz. Shah Qasim (RAH) has read all of them and had a clear understanding. Whenever his father use to ask meaning of some ayah, he use to explain in details giving references from all translations. Due to this quality his father use to call him ‘mujtahid’. He did tark-e-duniya at the age of 24 years. Was 37 years old at the time of demise of his father in Doulatabad. He passed away at the age of 54 years on 17th Moharram 1043H. There are numerous incidents of his life that reflect the practices of mahdavia faith. One of them is narrated below. Near his daira in musheerabad, Hyderabad there lived a hindu hermit. Moved by the conditions of the inmates of the diara, he presented a magic powder to Hz. Shah Qasim (RAH) and said you can make as much gold as possible. Hz threw the packet in the well and spitted on a rock nearby which turned into gold. Seeing this the hermit accepted Islam and joined daira and was called Jogi Mohammed and is buried in the diara in musheerabad, India. Home |
