  1. I have the following doubts . 1. Muhammad(pbuh),brought the complete religion of Allah to mankind. So when lailatul qadar was not revealed to the umma through him how is it that it was revealed through mehdi alaihis salam? Does this meen that  Rasool Allah (pubh) was given an incomplete religion to be completed by mehdi(ahs)? Mehdialaihissalam said he followed the footsteps of rasool Allah (PBUH), then is not the revelation of the night an addition to Rasool Allahs (PBUH) deen? Mehdavis say the niyat of some prayers like tahtul wudu, and tarawi prayers as" Tabe Mahdi AHS ke". Is this not an innovation? And what did Mahdi (AHS) say when he offered these prayers?

  2. Why do we Mehdavis punctually pray two rakats tehiyyatal wadu after wadu?

  3. Why do we Mehdavis don't follow others in their prayers ?

  4. What is Ushr ?

  5. Why do we Mehdavis don’t make dua by lifting hand after fard prayers ?

  6. What is Behr-e-Aam ?

  7. In Ijma carrying the woods and water, how much is it religious ?

  8. The type of dhikr and prayers possible in renunciation of world (tark-e-duniya), is it not possible by a worldly person. What is the purpose and importance  of tark-e-duniya?

  9. Is it correct for women to visit graveyards and to sit besides the graves ?

  10. What are the orders about interest ? What is the difference between interest taken in normal transactions and interest given by bank?

FAQs

Bismillah hirrahman nirrahim. As salamwalikum, If any of my mahdavi brothers and sisters clear my doubts below in light of the following verses of the Quran , I would be most grateful. Surah al maeda verse3-----Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. THIS DAY HAVE I PERFECTED YOUR RELIGION FOR YOU, COMPLETED MY FAVOUR UPONYOU,AND HAVE CHOSEN FOR YOU ISLAM AS YOUR RELIGION. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. In light of the above verses of the holy quran I have the following doubts . 1. Muhammad(pbuh),brought the complete religion of Allah to mankind. So when lailatul qadar was not revealed to the umma through him how is it that it was revealed through mehdi alaihis salam? Does this meen that  Rasool Allah (pubh) was given an incomplete religion to be completed by mehdi(ahs)?Mehdialaihissalam said he followed the footsteps of rasool Allah , then is not the revelation of the night an addition to Rasool Allahs deen? Mehdavis say the niyat of some prayers like tahtul wudu, and tarawi prayers as" tabe mehdi ke". Is this not an innovation? And what did mehdi (ahs) say when he offered these prayers? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Allah is great who guides all to the right path.

Dear brother.  salaam-e-masnoon.

Before trying to clear the doubts I, the humble creature of Allah, want to bring some points to your notice.

1. The verse of Quran, quoted by you is as:

This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.

(a) See please Allah has used the word your religion twice. But you have written like this Muhammad (SAS) brought the complete religion of Allah to mankind. and again afterwards you wrote "Then is not the revelation of the night an addition to Rasoolullah’s deen”.

(b) Allah has used the word "perfect" for religion and the word "completed" for favours. But you have used the word “complete” for religion. There is lot of difference between “perfect” and "complete".

(c) This above said verse comes after some commandments regarding what is permitted and what is prohibited and then said "This day I perfected your religion. (It means to say that the commandments about food permitted and prohibited, have been revealed perfectly, so follow them strictly)

2. No doubt Rasoolullah (SAS) was given a perfect religion. But one must know that the pulse of religious life did not stop abruptly at that time of that day. It means that so far as the sending down of the holy book Quran is concerned, it is completed but so far as the definition, explanation, commentaries and details are concerned, though of some verses, they were not revealed to all the companions of Prophet. One must not think that their meanings were not revealed to prophet (SAS) by Allah. He knows well. But he disclosed them only to those people who were capable of bearing them.

In this connection here are some examples:

a) God is the light of heavens and earth (Noor-35)

b) He is the first and the last, the evident (hadid-3) and immanent

c) There is not a secrete consultation between the three but he makes the fourth among them, not between five but he makes sixth. Nor between fewer nor more but he is in their midst (mujadila-7)

d) AlifLamMeem, Yaseen, Taha and all "Huroofe-e-Muqathe'Aat"

e) He is with you

Had these verses been explained? Who from companions knows the real meanings of these verses? Only some of them.

f) To God belong the east and the west, withersoever you turn there is the presence of God (Buqra-115)

g) The hand of God is over their hands (fal-h-10)

h) The day that the shin shall be laid bare (Qalam-42)
Are the facts of these words known to all?
Moreover if anybody insists, inspite of all these examples, that the religion had been completed by the above said verse. Then the "Ijma" and "Qyas" would have no place in the structure of "Shariat" Where as both had been accepted as sources of shar'a, by each and every Muslim of all times and justified by Quran and traditions of Prophet Muhammad (SAS), that is why we see that companions of Rasoolullah (SAS), Their followers and the great masters of schools of jurisprudence had different interpretation of and opinions about some verses.
The other point of importance is the word "Today". Our today is of

24 hours. But when we seek the period of Allah's Today, we find this verse in Quran:

“A day in the sight of the thy lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning (Hajj-47)”

It means Allah's one day is equal to our one thousand years. So, According to that the word "today" in the verse you quoted is one thousand years long. Thus what happened in this period is was also a process in making the religion perfect and complete the favours.
Hazrat Mahdi Alaisalam's advent was between 847-910 A.H. Thus his proclamation, his Teachings including the fixing of Lailatul-Qadr on 27th Ramazan comes in that period.

3. When there is a surah by name "Qadr", how can one dare say that Lailatul-Qadr was not revealed to Rasoolullah (SAS). In accordance to that surah, Rasoolullah (SAS) on the night of 27th Ramazan not only awoke his "ahle-baith" but also gathered other people and He himself led them in prayer till wee hours of that night. The narrator says that it was so late that we were afraid that we would miss "the falah", when asked about falah he replied he meant "Sahar". This tradition may be seen in "Mishkat" by Abu-Zar.

Once Prophet (PBUH) said Lailatul-Qadr was revealed to me, and then I forgot it or was made to forget.

Once Prophet (PBUH) came out of his house, he saw two people quarrelling, then he went back saying he had come out to reveal Lailatul-Qadr, but saw them quarrelling, So he stopped.

In this context how a prayer in Lailatul-Qadr can be called an innovation. Hazrat Mahdi Alaisalam was not a common man or commentator. He was Khalifatullah and Mubyyan-e-Muradullah, So, if he, by direct order of Allah, performed the Dugana, nobody can say it innovation.

4. Coming to conclusion one more point. While translating the quoted verse of Quran, we must know the real meaning of the word "deen" in this context famous tradition which is called "Hadith-e-gebrail" throws light on deen .It goes like this.

Once Gebrail came in a man's guise and asked him (Rasoolullah SAS) of Islam, He replied Islam is to believe There is no God but Allah and Muhammad SAS is His Prophet (PBUH), Offering prayers, Fasting in Ramadan, Giving Zakath and Performing Hajj. Then he asked about Iman. Huzoor (SAS) Replied, It means to have faith (or to believe) in Allah, in His Angels, in His Prophets, in His books and in Doomsday. Then he asked about "Ehsan", he replied it means that you worship Allah as seeing him and if you are not able to see him, you worship him as he is seeing you. When he went away, Huzoor (SAS) asked his companions, do you know who was he? They replied Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) know better. He (SAS) said, “He was Gebrail, who had come to teach you your "Deen".

This tradition indicates that deen has three branches: Islam, Iman, and Ehsan. Islam and Iman have been revealed and described fully well, but the teachings of Ehsan were revealed only to those people who were considered fit for the purpose, to see Allah in this world relates to Tariqat and Marifat, so it was the intention of Allah that this be revealed to people through Mahdi Alaihissalam, the khaleefatullah. Iman is just like seed (Root) and branches and Ehsan is like fruit. Iman is a beginning point and Ehsan is the destination. Now it is obvious that Mahdi Alaihissalam did not preach or add new thing. Rasoolullah (SAS) himself preached, brought and did. So to say that Mahdi Alaihissalam added, or deleted some thing is nothing but a false propaganda.

5. All Muslims offer "Sunnat Namaaz" before Farz of Fajr, before and after Zuhr, after Maghrib and after Isha. They say in their Niyath "Sunnat-e-Rasoolullah", it means that we follow Rasoolullah SAS in these prayers. But the question arises here is what was the Niyath of Rasoolullah, while he was performing those prayers? Every Khaleefatullah obeys the orders of Allah likewise Mahdi Alaihissalam performed "Dugana" on the order of Allah and his followers performed it with the words muthaba'athal mehdi-al-maud. Similarly in tahiyathulwadu we say these words in our Niyath because Mahdi-e-Maud {a.s} revived that sunnat which had been dead by Muslims.

Why do we Mehdavis punctually pray two rakats tehiyyatal wadu after wadu ?

Performing two rakats tehiyyattal wadu after wadu is sunnat moakkada and our Imam Syed Muhammad Jaunpuri Mehdi-e-Moud AHS ordered us to do so. In Bukhari Shareef there is a hadith, during Meraj RasulAllah (PBUH) heard the foosteps of Hz. Bilal Rz ahead of him and ask him what good deeds did he perform. Hz Bilal Rz replied, whenever he performs wadu he prays two rakats tehiyyatal wadu.
