The Promised One

THE QURAN AND THE MEHDI (AS) ARE OUR IMAMS (LEADERS) IT IS TRUE AND WE ACCEPT IT

During the life of Prophet Mohammed (PUH), he has foretold about a person called Mehdi (AS), who will appear in this world as the Caliph of Allah (AS); his advent will be necessitated due to the extreme distortion of the Islamic principles and dilution of the faith. He. by the grace of Allah, will set right this disorder. Since then many generations have waited for the Promised One. Finally, in Jaunpur. 900 years after the advent of the Holy Prophet (PUH) such a person was born.

This book is about this 'Promised One'. Syed Mohammed Jaunpuri (AS). the Mehdi Al Maoud (AS), who was born in Jaunpur in 847 AH and proclaimed himself as the Promised Mehdi (AS) thrice - first in Mecca in 901 AH, second in Ahmedabad in 903 AH and third in Badli in 905 AH.

The Muslim World acclaimed him as the greatest scholar and highest of the saints. He was a perfect adherent of Quran and Sunnah. In fact at the age of twelve, he was proclaimed as the 'Asad-Ul-Ulema' or a lion among the scholars, by all the great Islamic scholars of that time.

By the time he died at the age of 63 in 910 AH at Farah in Afghanistan. he had fulfilled the mission for which he was send by Allah i.e. to restore to Islam Is pristine glory. To achieve this he covered a large part of the then muslim world.

Through his perfect adherence of Quran and Sunnah and also fulfilling all the prophecies about such a person, he conclusively proved that he is the Promised Mehdi (AS). Thus now no Mehdi (AS) will come and we wait only for Isa AS (Jesus AS). who will be coming before the doomsday.
